Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Mackenzie Weinzapfel shares how Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group hires with long-term intent and protects the people behind the work.
Building the Team the Right Way
My role is to identify and attract talent that reflects the core values and standards of Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group. We don’t hire reactively, we hire with long- term intent. Through honesty, transparency, and a strong emphasis on culture, we ensure that every team member understands what it truly means to represent Mt. Carmel, and wear our logo with pride, accountability, and integrity.
Representing Something Real
What excites me most about my role is the opportunity to have open, meaningful conversations with a wide range of people about a company I truly believe in. When you’re passionate about the product and the culture, those conversations come naturally. We are a needle-in-a-haystack organization and being able to represent that every day isn’t just exciting, it’s an absolute honor.
The Work Behind the Wins
What people don’t always see is how deeply culture drives performance here. In milestone conversations, especially at the one-year mark, team members often tell me they wish they’d found us sooner because this company feels like home. Those moments consistently reflect gratitude, pride, and ambition, and they’re the foundation that allows us to develop leaders internally and continue pushing the industry forward.
When You Know, You Know
Professionally, my background has always been in talent acquisition and marketing across a variety of industries. What began as an idea to build my own firm and place talent in the most efficient and effective way ultimately led me to partnering with Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group. Today, I’m proud to serve as their Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Every path into construction looks different, and mine was no exception. After working with several companies to support their recruitment needs, it became clear very quickly that my focus and energy belonged exclusively with Mt. Carmel. The culture was undeniable, the mission was authentic, and it felt like home. Believing in the organization made the decision an easy one.

Progress Is the Expectation
What motivates me most is being surrounded by people who care deeply about what they do. I see it as both a responsibility and a privilege to help build a team that shares the same passion and values. I learn something new every day, meet someone new every day, and grow alongside individuals who refuse to stand still. Mt. Carmel is always moving forward innovating, strengthening relationships, and partnering with some of the most unique talent in the industry. When you’re surrounded by that level of drive and grit, motivation is never in short supply.
Strength That Multiplies
Across any industry, but especially in construction, women bring a unique ability to multitask with intention. We listen to the “why,” create a plan, and execute with precision. That strength is amplified by the support systems women build around one another. We push each other to be better, we show up for one another, and we celebrate each other’s successes. When one woman succeeds, it raises the standard -for all of us.
Carrying the Standard
Being a woman in construction means carrying qualities that set you apart. It means being bold, authentic, resilient, and unafraid of a challenge. It means being competitive yet strategic, lifting others up rather than tearing them down. It means holding yourself to high standards and staying accountable every single day.
I’m proud to be a woman in the construction industry, but I’m even more proud to do this work at Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group, an organization that shares those same values, goals, and intentions. We are not complacent, we are driven, eager, and always pushing forward. It truly means the world to me
No One Stands Alone
Support at Mt. Carmel comes from a culture of accountability, collaboration, and trust. Everyone holds themselves to high standards, but when we fall short, we don’t judge, we lift each other up. We share knowledge, celebrate one another’s wins, and ensure everyone feels safe and valued. I’ve never felt more supported in any role.
Shared Stake, Shared Standard
Being part of an ESOP and minority-owned company is something I take great pride in. It’s empowering to know that every team member has a stake in the success of the organization and that diverse perspectives are not only valued but celebrated. That structure fosters accountability, collaboration, and ownership at every level, and it’s incredibly motivating to contribute to a company where we all have a voice and a shared purpose.
The Culture Sets the Pace
What I love most about working at Mt. Carmel is the people and the culture. Everyone here is driven, accountable, and genuinely invested in one another’s success. There’s a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and doing the right thing, and that energy is contagious. Being part of a team that celebrates wins, learns from challenges, and pushes each other to grow every day makes me proud to contribute and honored to be here.
Forward, Always
At Mt. Carmel, drive is more than ambition, it’s action. It’s the grit to take on challenges, the perseverance to see projects through, and the commitment to g above and beyond before being asked. Drive is what fuels our culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. For me, it means doing everything I can to support our team, represent the company with integrity, and keep moving onward and upward.
Mackenzie Weinzapfel has worked with Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group for six years, first as a consultant, and officially as an employee since December 2025. “Honestly, it feels natural to say six years, because being part of this team has always felt like home,” Weinzapfel says. “I’m proud to be here and excited to continue contributing to the company’s growth and success.”
